Working in cross-functional groups made up of software developers, testers, data scientists, and business analysts, we are tasked with finding solutions that solve complex business challenges for our clients.

How We Work

We are focused on harnessing new digital technologies for client use, expanding BBH’s ability to retain, analyze, and distribute usable data, and controlling the cyber risk that accompanies these activities.

Our experts focus on key technologies that help protect, run and transform our organization.

Protect the Bank teams ensure that we’re able to deliver solutions securely—protecting BBH’s digital assets and our clients.

Develops and implements policies, procedures, and controls to protect BBH against cyber threats. Functions include Infrastructure Defense, Platform Configuration Security, Secure Coding Program Management, Monitoring, and Red Team Operations.

Includes Business Continuity Planning and Cyber Incident Response; Manages plans to help BBH reestablish workflow, restore total power, and recover from events such as computer failure, shutdown of an office, and more.

Ensures the security of BBH’s physical locations through card access technology, 24/7 video monitoring, and security staff.

Develops and implements policies, procedures, and controls to protect BBH against cyber threats. Functions include Infrastructure Defense, Platform Configuration Security, Secure Coding Program Management, Monitoring, and Red Team Operations.

Protects the Technology Systems organization by implementing a framework for identifying and anticipating risks to Systems, managing those risks, and driving a culture of risk awareness, transparency and escalation.

Run the Bank teams are responsible for day-to-day operations and performance, including the management of BBH’s production infrastructure.

Manages the life cycle of technology assets through processes including procurement, lease management, inventory management, and tracking.

Focuses on the control, optimization, and commercial opportunity around data movement for BBH clients; includes a dedicated Data Loss Prevention Team focused on ensuring the confidentiality and privacy of BBH and client data.

Ensures that BBH maximizes value from external providers of products and services while managing exposure to vendor-related risk through the Vendor Technology Assessment (VTA) function; oversees contract review and negotiation, quarterly business reviews, and ongoing monitoring of performance for the top vendors within Technology Systems.

Enterprise Functions

Manages the voice, video, messaging, desktop, and mobile solutions that support employee collaboration across our global offices.

Responsible for production incident management, change oversight, and business command center operations; acts as the first line of defense for issues that may impact client deliverables or use of our applications.

Manages the systems, hardware, and software items that are foundational to the successful operation of BBH networks and applications; consists of teams dedicated to servers, databases, and middleware.

Manages BBH’s primary and backup storage technology infrastructure globally; administers and supports BBH’s European and Asian infrastructure components including network, server, voice, video, and data center; provides internal and external client technical support.

Responsible for the BBH Global Data Network and its related infrastructure, including managing the Wide Area Network (WAN) circuits, network connectivity, and communications between all BBH offices and data centers.

Focuses on optimization, modernization, and strategic enhancements to BBH infrastructure; ensures our technology portfolio utilizes the best tools and technologies from a cost, security, and capability perspective.

Change the Bank teams, also known as Global Application Development and Support, focus on delivering technology solutions that are aligned with both BBH’s and our clients’ strategic priorities, and providing application and maintenance to our production systems.

Provides technology platforms and solutions for our Custody, Fund Services, Direct, Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), Transfer Agency (TA), Alternative Investments and Markets business.

Works with the Investment Management line of business to enable applications that support their select Equity, Private Equity, and Fixed Income businesses.

Ensures that the Private Banking line of business is equipped with the core technology and digital solutions that differentiate BBH from our competitors in the market.

Provides technology platforms and solutions for Human Resources, Enterprise Services, Corporate Finance, Enterprise Risk, Audit, and Compliance.

  • Data Platform: Provides central platform for data services – a foundational component to delivering digital solutions to our clients. Develops firmwide Investment Data Platform and manages our reference data applications.
  • Enterprise Reporting: Ensures that business lines are using standardized reporting tools; promotes collaboration and reporting best practices across the organization; Center of Excellence (COE) for developing and evolving the reporting platforms.
  • Fintech Systems: Fintech leverages our core message processing solution, Infomediary, and our full suite of middle office applications to provide our clients with full end-to-end processing or modular solutions. In addition, Fintech offers SaaS for Direct clients as well as backup/reconciliatory NAV solution.

Supports the technology functions that cut across our lines of business including the Lab, Portal, Marketing, CRM, and Information Security Technology as well as Quality Management Technology which provides end-to-end quality assurance testing services for development initiatives.

Responsible for escalated Production Support issues across all applications. This level of support typically refers to the root cause analysis and production support activities involving data, configuration, code changes, or workaround development.

Supports the firm’s business objectives by standardizing the execution processes using project management templates, tools, and controls related to development, and tracking delivery alignment to business needs.

Defines activities that drive the strategic technology direction to meet business objectives and enable value creation between business services; establishes operational processes and appropriate governance framework for technology solutions. Responsible for running cross-pillar Enterprise Architecture Review Board.

Supports the vision of the department along with administrative oversight; ensures the effectiveness and efficiency of all aspects of change including financial and operational management; identifies opportunities and monitors progress on key initiatives, and providing oversight for the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
