As a Principal in the BBH Capital Partners (BBHCP) Private Equity group, Ivan Pirzada is responsible for BBH's corporate finance advisory, commercial lending, and private equity investing activities in the Boston office. He has 25 years of experience as an M&A advisor, board member, family business advisor, and private equity investor.
Prior to his current role, Ivan was responsible for BBH’s healthcare corporate finance advisory (M&A) practice worldwide, leading a variety of transactions, including equity recapitalizations, corporate sales, divestitures, and acquisitions. His clients included owner-managed private companies and public companies in both the U.S. and Europe, where he completed over $7 billion in M&A transactions.
Ivan serves on the Board of Directors of MPS Microsystems, a family-owned manufacturer of engineered components for a variety of end markets (medical, watch, aerospace, etc.) headquartered in Biel, Switzerland. He previously served on the Board of Directors and chaired the audit and M&A committees of Ethos Veterinary Healthcare, a BBHCP Private Equity portfolio company that sold for over $1.8 billion in 2022, and Haven Behavioral Healthcare, an in-patient hospital serving mental health patients, which sold in 2024. Ivan is also a member of the faculty at the Harvard Chan School of Public Health and a previous member of the school's Health Policy and Management Executive Council. Ivan received a B.A. from Bowdoin College.
