Ali Hutchinson leads BBH’s New York office, working with sophisticated teams to provide clients with holistic advice to help preserve and grow their wealth, navigate transitions and strategically transfer wealth to future generations and to charity.
Ali is a frequent contributor to print and broadcast media, appearing in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, Accounting Today, Kiplinger, Bloomberg, MarketWatch, Business Insider, ThinkAdvisor, and CNBC, and was featured on the WSJ Secrets of Wealthy Women podcast.
Prior to joining the firm, Ali was in private legal practice at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP in New York City, specializing in tax, trust and estate planning – developing and implementing strategies to achieve preservation and transmission of family wealth while minimizing transfer taxes.
Ali serves on the board of directors of the Brown Brothers Harriman Trust Company, N.A., and is vice president of the board of directors of the New York Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children. She received a B.A. (cum laude) from Dartmouth College and a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, where she was a Dillard Fellow.
