Internships at BBH: Meet Adelaide Seeman

The best stories are the stories that come from the people who live them. Hear from Adelaide Seeman.

When I was abruptly sent home from college in mid-March, I thought the pandemic would be over by the summer. However, as time went on, summer plans were put on hold. My friends, who were in all stages of acquiring summer internships and jobs, got emails that the intern position had been pulled, that the job was no longer available, and/or that due to health concerns the company did not want to bring in extra people.

I assumed my internship at BBH would be canceled too. I was pleasantly surprised when I got an email a week after being sent home from college that said BBH would not be cancelling its intern program but would instead be adopting a virtual format and adjusting to a new timeline. I am here to affirm that BBH has shown its culture to be exactly what it professes it to be. From the second I opened that email, I knew that BBH has an environment that puts value on transparency, relationships, and problem-solving. Everyone I have met here is generous with their time. They want to help us grow and learn. They help us make connections and network. They teach us about different businesses, teams, and roles so we understand the big picture. I am more grateful for the BBH culture every day I am here.

I was pleasantly surprised when I got an email that said BBH would not be cancelling its internship program but would instead be adopting a virtual format and adjusting to a new timeline. BBH has shown its culture to be exactly what it professes it to be."
